Astropaq Wine Pouch Designs

Astropaq is a liquid packaging company based in Middlesex, NY. They create pouches from designs provided by the client, but the owner wanted to expand his audience. The owner was interested in creating generic designs for customers who didn’t have their own designs or we’re stuck about their design.

We collaborated on ideas, first starting with sangria. Astropaq wanted a design that showed flavor, splash and refreshing. So my idea was to take sweet, summer fruits like limes, oranges, strawberries, blueberries and cherries and have the drop into wine to make a big splash.

I then followed up with Astropaq’s other idea, cold brew coffee. The owner was open to creative ideas, so I took the lead and pitched the idea of modeling the pouch like a coffee bag you’d find at the store. I modeled the pouch to look like it was made out of compostable material, adding a sketched coffee bean to add an artisan touch.
