Rock Climbing: Nine Corners

After climbing Mount Marcy, we tackled an famous rock climbing area called Nine Corners. As a boulderer, I typically climb inside working with holds that work more of the pads on your palm, and at times, the lower parts of your fingers. Outdoor climbing was a vastly different beast.

It requires all of your attention, all your strength and all your hand. It's much rougher, and you have to really work on your grip in a new way, especially when leaping for higher holds. I new outdoor climbing was challenging but didn't realize just how challenging it truly was. I nod my head to those who do outdoor climbing. I hope I can have the opportunity to spend more time perfecting it!
